As an esthetician, one of the questions I get asked the most often is: “What products do you use in your daily beauty routine?” Well, here goes: Each of these 10 beauty products has a special place in my heart and a permanent spot in my makeup bag. They’re the products I rely on daily, the things that keep me looking fresh, smelling good, and incredibly hydrated.
1. Mascara & Lash Curler
Mascara these days can—and should—lengthen, thicken AND provide volume. The RevitaLash Double-Ended Volume Set is by far my favorite and most important do-it-all makeup tool. This 2-in-1 lash primer and mascara duo is designed to prep lashes and enhance volume, creating gorgeous, richly pigmented, luxurious lashes. Bonus: It’s oil-free and does not contain parabens, phthalates or fragrance.
2. Lash Serum
In order to keep our lashes strong and healthy, consistent use of a lash serum is a must. RevitaLash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and Serum is a one-of-a-kind, Ophthalmologist-developed eyelash conditioner that enhances the look of lashes and protects against breakage, while improving health, flexibility and strength, for lashes that thrive, naturally. Basically—magic in a tube!
3. Foundation (with SPF, of course!)
Foundation is a must to even out skin color and/or add radiance to your complexion. I love Jane Iredale’s PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation or Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream. Both products cover blemishes, minimize the appearance of pores, disguise wrinkles and smooth skin.
Jane Iredale’s Circle\Delete Concealer is MAGICAL. This eye conditioner and concealer combo conceals and diminishes the appearance of dark under-eye circles, and softens the appearance of fine lines around eyes. What’s better: The two colors can be blended in order to achieve the exact shade desired for your skin!
5. Brow Gel
Brow gels just so happen to be the hottest trend right now and for good reason—they help sculpt, control and shape eyebrows for immediate, lasting, and dramatic results. The RevitaLash Hi-Def Brow Gel softens and tames unruly brows while sculpting, setting and defining shape for more beautiful eyebrows. Bonus: The new precision styling brush helps create the perfect look by accommodating the finest, most delicate areas of the eye.
Eyeliner—even if the application struggle is real—makes all the difference for someone’s everyday look. I’m loving RevitaLash Defining Liner Eyeliner—a silky, moisture-locking formula that gently glides on without skipping, pulling or tugging. It looks like a pencil, but glides on like gel. Big bonus: It’s water resistant, smudge proof and stays put for an entire day!
Contouring is definitely in…but can be a little intimidating if you’ve never done it before. Introducing: Jane Iredale GreatShape Contour Kit! This trio of matte shades is PERFECT for sculpting, contouring and highlighting—no matter how much practice you’ve had. Even better: The kit includes an easy-to-follow, illustrated application guide.
8. Eye Shadow Compact
Sure, if you have a single eye shadow that works—go for it. But when you have a compact of a few different shades—you can mix it up throughout the week, or blend a few at once to create your own custom look. I love Jane Iredale’s Eye Shadow Kit that includes five different shades. Eye shadow pro-tip: Use the neutral colors for day and add that pop of color for your evening look.
9. Lip Balm
IMAGE Skincare’s ORMEDIC Lip Enhancement Complex is a must-have, especially for this time of year in Minnesota. This ultra-hydrating, polypeptide formula instantly replenishes and hydrates to make the lips look naturally full—with the slightest tint of pink. Perfect for the perfect beauty bag!
10. Hair and Body Fragrance
Let’s be honest…sometimes we just need a little refresher in the scent department. With Bumble and bumble’s new Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Fragrance for Hair and Body, you will never be left with stinky hair!
