At Cole’s Salon, we love learning and are passionately dedicated to the craft and culture of beauty. To help us stay two steps ahead of industry styles and trends, and continue offering world-class services and experiences to our guests, we travel across the country (and even the world!) to attend training workshops—and host industry experts to educate our teams on all-things-beauty related.
Here’s where we’ll be and what we’ll be learning in the next few months:
Intercoiffure Fall Atelier
When and where: October 7-9 in New York City
What and why: Intercoiffure is one of the most influential organizations in the hairdressing industry, and their annual workshop at the New York Hilton is just what you’d expect from such an elite association. I’m honored to be serving on the welcoming committee this year, and look forward to seeing familiar faces from salons across the country, as well as meeting new friends! We’ll be sharing our experience via the Cole’s Salon Instagram account—make sure to follow along for some serious glam.
Oribe Atelier Class
When and where: October 16 in Nashville, Tennessee
What and why: Oribe ambassadors are invited to attend this one-day workshop that will feature new, technical education developed by the Oribe Education Team and a few special guests. Our Cole’s Salon team in attendance will watch and learn the latest hairstyle techniques through live demos and a hands-on workshop.
French Haircutting Workshop
When and where: November 11-13 in Sarasota, Florida
What and why: A handful of Cole’s Salon trainers will head to Sarasota, Florida to master the French Haircutting Technique from our friends at Cutting Loose Salon. We’re excited to learn more about this classic Parisian approach that designs the haircut to compliment the unique shape of the head and frame of the face!
Bumble and bumble Razor Skills Workshop
When and where: November 14-15 in Burnsville, Minnesota
What and why: Even veteran stylists can learn new tricks and techniques, and that’s why we love Bumble and bumble educators and design workshops. Our friend Bit from Bumble will join us at Cole’s Salon for two days of razor cutting theory, consultation skill development, product knowledge, demos and hands-on applications.
Join the Fun!
Learning new skills and mastering basic techniques is enormously satisfying, and makes us fall in love with what we do all over again. And the best part—we get to share our new skills and inspiration with you, our guests! Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to join along in the fun!
Trish Storhoff is Vice President of Cole’s Salon.
One Response
Well done….in every aspect.
I have been a part of The Women’s Advantage group for 2 years, led and facilitated by Cheryl Leitschuh. Our final meeting is Oct. 28th. I suggested to the group that we give her a gift certificate to show our appreciation. At our last meeting I commented that her hair looked great and asked her where she went. No surprise….Cole’s in Burnsville.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I have figured out how to get that certificate for $350 on-line.
Cole’s will always have a special place in my heart and soul.
