Intercoiffure Fall Atelier: Creativity, Class and Compassion

What do you get when you invite the top salon owners and professionals in the country for a weekend-long symposium? A heavy dose of passion with equal parts creativity, class, talent, and full hearts.

Last month, those were the feelings and ideas my colleagues and I took away from the Intercoiffure Fall Atelier in Manhattan, New York. It was an honor to gather with other salon professionals and put ideas together to better the future of our industry as well as raise the bar to how salon employees are treated.

After talking with others, it’s clear that Cole’s is on the right track and well respected amongst our peers. We may live in “flyover country,” but people from all over know our name and what we stand for—which is so exciting!

One of the reasons why industry leaders know Cole’s Salon is our leadership team. At the event, we were excited to celebrate Cole’s President Trish Storhoff’s appointment to Intercoiffure’s new Membership Chairperson position! Congrats, Trish!

I always learn so much from Intercoiffure events. My two biggest takeaways from this year’s event were:

  1. Leading with your heart and values will keep you passionate and inspired for your entire career.
  2. To stay relevant in this industry, you have to be open to change, get out of your box, give back and take as many people with you as possible.

For those reasons, I am truly proud to be a part of this industry and am committed to making it a better place for everyone!
