Our feet and hands do so much for us—they get us to where we need to go and do the heavy lifting—literally. So if you’re in need of some serious self-care, consider adding a reflexology treatment to your next pedicure at Cole’s Salon.
What is reflexology?
Reflexology is a therapeutic method of massage stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. It gets its school of thought from the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands which correspond to every part of the body, so by understanding the “maps,” you can do anything from relaxation to improved circulation, and also add a general feeling of wellness. It’s like a massage for your feet…that affects your whole body!
Why is it so popular?
Those who undergo treatments credit this therapy with:
- Relaxation and stress management
- Aches, pains and tension relief
- Digestive improvement
- Circulation enhancement
- Improved sleep
- Increased mental and physical well being
How are we using it at Cole’s Salon?
At Cole’s, we offer a pedicure with reflexology at all of our locations. We focus on 37 main points on the feet and include proper maintenance of the feet including nail trimming, cuticle grooming, exfoliation, and a callous treatment.
And recently our team of nail techs and massage therapists had the opportunity to train with Marc Zollicoffer from Aveda on all-things reflexology. Marc has more than 23 years of experience in massage, acupressure, energy work, and foot reflexology. In our class, we learned specific techniques for maximum relaxation and healing.
Get to the sole of self-care.
As the weather gets colder, holiday stress rises, and circulation slows down—reflexology can be the perfect solution to put everything back in balance. Just ask your nail technician about the service and how it can be customized for your specific needs. We’re here to help you find the best solution!
