After every Oribe workshop a Cole’s team member attends, I always hear how much they learned and how much fun they had. So I promised myself, the next the opportunity I got to attend an Oribe educational event—I was going to go! When I heard about last week’s Oribe Ateliers in Nashville, I jumped at the chance to attend. And the cherry on top? I got to go with some of my best friends/co-workers!
We learned new techniques, polished existing skills and walked away with new inspiration and creative ideas. Here’s what we learned from a day full of live demonstrations, hands-on workshops and one-on-one time with some of the beauty industry’s most established leaders (we’re looking at you—Coby, Kien, James and Tony!).
We learned the latest styles, trends and techniques to create wearable looks that draw inspiration from the latest editorial and runway styles.
There’s nothing better than the perfect beachy wave; it’s one of the most requested styles year round! To up our beach-wave game, we learned the best—and most creative—tips for creating this coveted style.
There are certain products that works best to create perfectly polished, sculpted styles. We went over a handful of go-tos that enhance natural hair texture to get the best red carpet look.
Sometimes we want the opposite of formal—easy, effortless and even a little messy. To get the look, we ditched the bobby pins and learned how to sew hair for a more natural and modern approach.
We had a Sunday Funday and visited Nashville’s historic Broadway Street, complete with honky tonks, shopping, and so much good food. But most importantly, we were reminded that self-growth and continuous learning are pivotal to elevating one’s artistry. Ongoing practice and education enable us to refine our artistic lens, and ultimately, translate any look or technique into wearable styles behind the chair and in the salon. Thanks to Oribe for a fantastic learning opportunity!
