We’ve all heard about the harmful effects the sun can have on our skin, and we know we should apply sunscreen every day. So what are the best brands and products for keeping our skin safe and looking radiant at the same time? I have a handful of sunscreen soulmates that I regularly recommend—and I’m excited to share the love!
Image Skincare is one of my favorite skincare lines, and their PREVENTION+ collection has become a forever fave for sun protection. Why do I love it so? The PREVENTION+ collection is full of anti-pollution sun care products that truly protect skin from the sun’s damaging effects. Safe for both adults and children, these products come with UVA, UVB and infrared protection and are made with organic ingredients like agave leaf extract, jojoba oil, and goji berry, a powerful antioxidant.
The collection’s two new, groundbreaking anti-pollution products—the sport sunscreen spray and the pure mineral sunscreen spray—have made their way to my recommended summer shopping list (especially because we now have them at Cole’s!).
Here’s a little more info about them:
Sport Sunscreen Spray SPF 50
This sunscreen spray enriched with plant-derived stem cells is formulated for superior UVA/UVB and Infrared protection during sport activities and fun in the sun. Infused with organic ingredients like agave leaf extract, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil, this antioxidant-rich, paraben-free spray provides advanced protection against the aging effects of the sun.
Pure Mineral Sunscreen Spray SPF 30+
This anti-pollution, anti-aging, chemical-free pure mineral sunscreen spray offers UVA/UVB and Infrared protection. Made with antioxidants, 15% Zinc Oxide and plant stem cells, this continuous spray nourishes and hydrates skin with organic ingredients and is paraben-free. The ultra-lightweight texture glides on skin for a non-greasy, weightless finish.
In addition to the two new products listed above, the PREVENTION+ collection includes:
All products are broad spectrum, prevent free radical damage, and help with slowing down the aging process also skin cancer.
Practice Comprehensive Protection
Remember, sunscreen is only one way to protect your skin from harmful UV exposure and no sunscreen provides 100% protection. So to be as safe as possible, we recommend a comprehensive approach to skin protection, including: avoiding the sun when UV light is the strongest (between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.), seeking shade whenever possible, wearing protective clothing such as long sleeves, pants, wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses, and applying broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen every few hours.
Love your skin, and it will love you back!
