Five New Hair-Color Trends to Try in 2019

What better way to ring in the New Year than with a new hair color? From copper and rose gold to snow bunny blonde—this year’s hot hair colors are totally wearable and can look incredible on just about everyone.

Your new hair-color vibe for 2019 is right ahead—take notes and get ready to be inspired.

Soft Metals

The soft metals group consist of shades of copper and rose gold. These are wearable daily and tend to soften all skin tones.

Dirty Blonde

This golden hue of blonde also tends to work on all skin tones and usually requires little upkeep.

Copper Highlights on Brunettes

Piecey highlights of this variety help avoid the hair looking too brassy, and is an easy way to lighten up a dark head of hair.

Soft Blonde

This is considered to be platinum blonde’s cooler sister—with little pops of carmel or beige for a color melt made in heaven.

Inky Black

This look is all shine and statement, but beware—if you opt for this color you may want to apply some self-tanner or bronzer to balance out your total look (at least in the winter when our skin doesn’t see much sun).

Keep the Color Longer with Our Fave Products

Of course if you invest in professional hair color, we highly recommend investing in products that will help you maintain your color and keep your hair looking as healthy as possible. Below are some of my faves!

  • Oribe’s Shampoo and Conditioner for Beautiful Color collection includes a gentle, restorative cleanser and conditioner that extends the life of your dye while soothing over-processed, color-treated hair. We also carry Oribe Airbrush Root Touch-Up Sprays for root touch-ups, which are super helpful for those hoping to extend the life of their color.
  • Bumble and bumble’s Color Minded Shampoo and Conditioner are ultra-mild and are free of sulfates to preserve color and shine. Bumble also offers Bb. Color Gloss—a luminous hair gloss that adds instant luster and brilliant dimension, neutralizing brassy tones. These are available in brunette, warm or cool blonde, clear and red.

So if a change of hair color is on your list for 2019, let us know! We’d be happy to set you up with a consultation or an appointment to help you achieve your new look.

  1. I would love to do something drastic with color (but don’t want to pay the big bucks :)). My hair is long, almost to my pants and all one length. It’s all black (colored) and pretty thick and healthy. I’d like to volunteer if an associate wanted to try something cool.

I see Brit S. at the Burnsville location. Feel free to contact either of us for more info.
